About Practical Potions Aromatherapy

After years of practicing the art of aromatherapy, Practical Potions Inc. was launched in Crested Butte, Colorado, in the fall of 2004, by Lisa D’Arrigo.  Lisa studied aromatherapy with the West Coast Institute of Aromatherapy in British Columbia to receive her Professional Certification. In addition, Lisa graduated from Acadia University in Wolfville, Nova Scotia with an honors degree in International Relations and served in the Peace Corps as an Environmental Action Volunteer in Benin, West Africa..

Practical Potions is founded on the belief that essential oils can have a profound influence on your everyday life, all of our potions products are blended with high quality essential oils.  It’s all pure, it’s all good.  In keeping with this philosophy, all of our products are created with the finest all natural ingredients.  It just makes sense.  Essential oils are powerful gifts of nature.  To dilute them in synthetic materials would only diminish the significant contributions they can make, in every aspect of our lives.  We have chosen to create blends specifically because we believe that essential oils can provide even greater benefits in combination.  With the exception of Lavender, all of our creations are synergistic blends, and all of our blends are recipes of our own creation.

Each item is handcrafted in Crested Butte, Colorado where Lisa lives with her husband Scott Truex, their two daughters, Siena and Sophia, Willow the brown dog, and Sand E. Cat.  In addition to our handcrafted potions, we offer a limited selection of aromatherapy accessories.  These items have proven their place against our incredibly high standards and we are proud to offer this selection to enhance your aromatherapy experience.
